We spend one-third of our lifetime working. You are supposed to be active, artistic, and social when at work. Your office’s architecture has a significant impact on how you feel and think.

1. Take control of the surroundings!2. Make use of natural light and plants3. Take care of colour, illumination, and shape.4. Make a strategy first.

I’m sure you’ve wanted to compete for the window seat or wished you could add some colour to the walls. This is an external expression of the psychological desire for a calming climate.

You should make meaningful improvements to your office room, whether you’re a boss or an employee, to make everyone feel more comfortable. Here are four suggestions for office room decoration.

Let’s go through the article before you look for “office decor blog”.

1. Take control of the surroundings!

Picture frames, trees, decorative cup holders, and even a lamp may be added to the room. You will be more dedicated to your team. Your productivity will improve by up to 32% if you have control over your workplace’s appearance.

Enable the workers to have an input in how their office looks, and maybe even have a little stipend so they can buy something that helps them feel “at home” at their desks.

2. Make use of natural light and plants

I worked as an architect in the basement of a drab house for five years. We used to come in before sunrise and leave after sunset daily. There were no lights on the walls, which were made of white stone.

We needed to be outdoors, so we started drawing windows on our chalkboards that looked out onto breathtaking landscapes. Why did we choose this option? We needed to unwind, and staring at nature does just that.

Don’t you have a window in your room? Get the outside in! Having a plant nearby can assist you in recovering from strenuous tasks and reducing stress.

3. Take care of colour, illumination, and shape.

Different colours affect our success in different ways. Blue and green seem to aid our imagination, while red appears to help our attention to detail. Aspects such as lighting are also crucial. Dim lighting encourages freedom and, as a result, imagination, while lighter environments encourage critical and evaluative reasoning.

Using the circle and removing the square will help build a welcoming environment and stimulate brain activation linked to reward and aesthetic appreciation. Sitting in a circle promotes collaboration and co-ordination. For that one, King Arthur seemed to be ahead of the stage.

4. Make a strategy first.

You can’t make up your mind on how you want it to look? Don’t want to spend your time patching holes or returning anything you’ve just purchased? I see your point.

When you rent your space, you must request your landlord to drill holes in the wall. Remember, you will have only one chance to make everything right. So, do your research and plan your decoration before getting actually into work.

It’s tough to prioritize your office room decoration while you’re struggling with tight deadlines, landlord constraints, and a restricted budget. Owning your office room, integrating nature, experimenting with lighting and colours, and planning a modular way to decorate are four basic steps that will help you and your staff remain efficient and happy.
